PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED
On Sex Business Restrictions in Phoenix which would make "swing clubs" illegal,
treat dancers as sex objects without any wholesome human contact as well as requiring
registration like criminals.
The Phoenix City Council if going ahead with hearings on the proposed sex business
restrictions that have absolutely no legitimate reason or argument in support of. However,
when certain folks are obsessed with being sure no one can enjoy consenting sexual
activities, they seem to make it a big issue. Probably reflects their own sexual
insecurities.
We urge clear thinking citizens to attend these hearings and voice there outrage at the
new restrictions. You probably will have to sign a card that you wish to speak and have to
give a short like 2 minute presentation. I hate this kind of format, no discussion, no
dialog just political type speeches.

October 28th in City Council Chambers
November 2nd at South Mountain Community Center
November 16th at Deer Valley Community Center
I urge you to continue writing letters to the Mayor/Council and express your opinion at
the hearings. Sadly at the last hearings on these issues before the Health and Safety
Subcommittee, the citizens opposed to the restrictions vastly out numbered the supporters
but were ignored by the city. I believe the city with pressure from the radical right
groups has already made up their minds to ignore logic and arguments against and may be
doing the hearings more for political needs but time will tell. The more support against
the proposals the harder it will be for the City to ignore the citizens with logical
arguments.
