I´m currently researching in the area of sex work and pornography, and have since the start of my research become ever more confused as to the true nature of male and female sexuality. When I started out I had the firm belief that any form of sexuality was part of a healthy attitude and that both women and men working in the sex industry were quite able to do so as a rational and conscious choice. I have only skimmed through your site Dave, and I am happy to find someone with a great understanding of human needs. I just visited your site based on a post in SF Redbook regarding the TBD boards. I was surprised to hear you had such problems in Phoenix, our experience in Seattle has been very supportive of low cost providers. In fact the site now features a link to its CCRiders List that provides contact information only for providers that provide quality service at a cost of $200/hr or less. In the past two months alone the site has gotten over 12,000 hits!
I've seen no evidence of selective deletions going on here or in San Francisco (the two TBD boards I track), so it please don't generalize to all sites based upon bad experiences at a few. I suppose that a lot of the problem goes to individual site moderators that may have been negligent (or subversive as you would have us believe) and the inevitable battle of male ego's in this domain.
